I attended the NINDS Orientation this morning, my specific department's orientation. It provided basic info, I met a few people, but all in all, not very memorable. After all, the people I really see are those in my lab. Went back to the lab, didn't do too much lab work (I still didn't get more than 3 colonies for any culture, bad bacteria), but I spent a lot of time studying.
Spent my lunch break eating and talking with Christina and Hetal, and I played tennis with Jon (the mosquitos/bug-like-things there were nasty stinkers, trying to bite and crawl into ears and mouthes and noses). I left the lab earlier than usual because there wasn't much lab work. The weather has been nice this whole week (under 80 degrees this whole week, but today it was a solid 73 degrees and cloudy when I played tennis) and I'm hoping for this streak to continue.
Excuse my disjointed sentences. The week is almost over and it's been a little crazy.
